Job Description
Summary of the Role:
Lead chemical product compliance projects and act as Global regulatory advisor and Customer Regulatory Support, specializing in EU REACH, EU CLP, other REACH-Like regulations eg K-REACH, Taiwan REACH and other chemical control regulations especially of Asia Pacific region,Food Contact Regulations, including technical dossiers like IUCLID
Responsibilities
ؠPerforming EU Poison Centre Notifications
ؠCoordinating with Only Representative / Agents for Regulatory compliance
ؠPrepare REACH registration dossiers (in IUCLID) and other Technical dossiers for chemical regulatory compliance
ؠTimely response to Global regulatory queries of Customers of Dorf Ketal
ؠPrepare Regulatory compliance strategy proactively
ؠIdentify Requirements, cost and timelines for the regulatory compliance of the products, as per Business needs
ؠManage Existing Product Registrations and Compliances
ؠKeeping abreast of Global Regulatory updates and keeping the Regulatory Team members updated on the new relevant requirements
ؠMaintain & Update In-house Regulatory tools and databases, including REACH substance volume tracking tools
ؠAiding AVP-Regulatory in preparing & implementing regulatory SOPs in compliance with DK systems, monitoring Regulatory status, identifying existing / new / upcoming regulatory risks & opportunities
ؠCoordinate with other members of the Regulatory Affairs team, Business teams, Quality Control team, R&D team, HSE teams, Purchase Teams and other relevant teams to gather necessary data for regulatory compliance or registrations/notifications.
ؠCoordinate with Labs/CROs to generate (Eco)Toxicological data and to characterize the product via GPC, HPLC, GC,FT-IR, UV-Vis, MS,NMR,ICP,AAS,XRD,XRF or other methods.
ؠAssisting in Product Sustainability Projects including Certifications
Support positive Product Safety Culture and compliance with DK safety, health and environmental policies, standards and procedures
Qualifications
Minimum: M.Sc. (Chemistry) or B.Tech Chemical / BE Chemical or any other Bachelor or Master Degree with Chemistry as one of the Subject
Work Experience- 15 Years relevant Experience
Desirable: Should have worked in Responsible Care Certified Mfg company or Chemical regulatory consultancy firm. Prior work experience in R&D /QA/QC is preferred
Additional knowledge required:
Knowledge on Trade control regulations governing chemicals
Familiarity with International Hazard Communication Standards Global Harmonized System (GHS).
Familiarity with International Regulatory Standards (i.e. TDG, IMO, IATA etc.)
Knowledge of GHS SDS & GHS classification
Knowledge in Polymer low concern Criteria
Knowledge in Organic Chemistry and Analytical chemistry
Basic understanding of Chemical Toxicology
Skills Required
Must be conversant with MS Office, especially Excel. Able to create Pivot tables & perform basic data analysis
Must have strong technical communication skills, both oral and written, effective prioritization, organization, time management and problem-solving skills.
Demonstrates resilience and adaptability when faced with tight deadlines or challenging situations.
Ability to read and interpret technical documents such as regulatory rules and bulletins
Ability to write routine technical reports and correspondence.
