Senior Network Engineer (Security, Cisco ASA, Firewall) | 7-12 Y | Noida | Chennai | Hyderabad |
Scope
Technical Leadership: Lead support of complex network and server operating system environments. Design, disaster recovery planning, capacity planning, and complex server and network configurations.
Network Security and Maintenance: Design, implement, and maintain secure networks. Perform administration and monitoring of network and voice services. Manage upgrades, troubleshooting, and maintenance for network-related projects.
Advanced Configuration and Troubleshooting: Configure, manage, maintain, and troubleshoot Cisco ASA and FirePower firewalls (including ACLs, S2S VPNs, BGP, IPSec, routing, optimizing/tuning, and troubleshooting in multi-context mode).
Infrastructure Support: Support network infrastructure, including email, storage management, file and print services, routers, wireless access points, switches, firewalls, network-related software, network management systems, and backup and disaster recovery services.
Required Skills
Strong Senior Network Engineer (Security, Cisco ASA, Firewall) with 7+ years of hands-on experience in a security engineer role with direct responsibility for Cisco Firewalls and Security vulnerability management suite
Proficiency in configuring, managing, maintaining, and troubleshooting Cisco ASA and FirePower firewalls
Broad hands-on knowledge of firewalls and intrusion detection/prevention systems
Strong understanding of TCP / IP protocols, routing, and subnetting
Experience with security aspects of any Cloud providers (AWS / Azure / Google Cloud)
Comfort in handling both Security Engineering and Operations responsibilities, proficiency in MS Office products (including Visio)
Familiarity with security information and event management (SIEM) tools like Splunk, QRadar, or ArcSight, and network monitoring tools like SolarWinds or Nagios.
Experience working in companies with a strong emphasis on network security and cloud security, such as Cisco, Amazon, Microsoft, or similar
(Education) - Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, related discipline, or equivalent work experience
