We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Senior Consultant Specialist

In this role you will:

Technology Risk and Control Specialists are responsible for protecting the organisation through appropriate Technology risk management, ensuring that risks are captured, understood, clearly communicated and potential sources of loss are minimised in a cost-effective manner.

Role holder is required to be a specialist in Technology Risk Management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Enhance technology control frameworks, ensuring they are effective, adaptable, and compliant with industry regulations and standards.
  • Participate in high-level risk assessments to identify and evaluate potential risks, providing insights for informed decision-making.
  • Collaborate closely with direct leadership to integrate risk considerations into strategic technology planning and decision-making processes.
  • Guide junior technology risk professionals, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Coordinate complex internal and external technology audits, ensuring efficient communication and resolution of audit findings.
  • Stay abreast of emerging technologies and cybersecurity threats, anticipate and address potential risks.
  • Monitor key control indicators (KCIs) to track the effectiveness of risk mitigation efforts and report to management.

Requirements

To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:

  • Minimum work experience of 7 to 10years
  • Minimum bachelor's degree
  • Experience in technology risk management, with a track record of successfully enhancing control frameworks preferred.
  • Understanding of Technology Risk and Control principles.
  • Demonstrated experience in coordinating technology audits, both internal and external preferred
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to navigate technology landscapes.
  • Knowledge of enterprise risk management software and tools preferred
  • A commitment to continuous learning and staying at the forefront of technology risk management trends and developments.
  • Understanding of Technology infrastructure as used in a large organization.
  • Basic understanding of telecommunications technology - The role holder will have had exposure to some of the following technologies: Cisco routing and switching, Firewalls, Proxies, Load Balancers, servers, call centre systems
