Job Overview

This role requires close collaboration with business and technical stakeholders, making strong communication and documentation skills essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop Power BI dashboards and reports based on star schema models.
• Optimize data models for performance and scalability, leveraging Power BI features such as aggregations, calculated columns, and DAX measures.
• Create interactive, user-friendly dashboards to support data-driven decision-making.

• Follow enterprise guidelines to build consistent, reusable, and governed data models.
• Collaborate with data engineers and architects to ensure compliance with enterprise standards.

• Work within Agile frameworks, actively participating in sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
• Utilize Azure DevOps (ADO) for task management, tracking progress, and reporting issues.

• Optimize dashboards and reports for fast load times and efficient data refreshes.
• Implement row-level security (RLS) to ensure proper access to sensitive data.

• Develop and maintain detailed documentation, including Business Requirements Documents (BRDs), technical documentation, and user guides.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders to gather requirements, present solutions, and collect feedback.

• Experience: 68 years in Power BI development with a focus on data modeling (star schema) and communication.
• Technical Skills:
• Proficient in Power BI, DAX, Power Query (M language).
• Strong understanding of data warehousing principles and ETL processes.
• Hands-on experience in performance optimization.
• Familiarity with Azure DevOps (ADO) for task management.
• Certifications: Microsoft Certified Power BI Data Analyst (preferred).
• Methodology: Agile and/or Scrum certification (preferred).
• Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and ability to work independently or as part of a team. Excellent communication and documentation skills.

• Knowledge of Business Intelligence (BI) best practices and enterprise BI distribution strategies.
• Experience in dataset management and Power BI service deployment.
