Day-to-Day Production DB support and maintenance of diffent versions of PostgreSQL.
Roles & Responsibilities:- Primary : PostgreSQL DBA
- **Database Management:** Install, configure, and upgrade PostgreSQL database servers, ensuring optimal performance and availability.
- **Performance Tuning:** Monitor and optimize database performance, including query optimization, indexing, and memory usage.
- **Backup & Recovery:** Develop, implement, and manage backup and recovery strategies to ensure data integrity and availability.
- **Security Management:** Implement and manage database security policies, including user management, access control, and encryption.
- **Data Migration:** Plan and execute database migrations, upgrades, and patching with minimal downtime.
- **Automation & Scripting:** Automate routine database tasks using scripting languages like Bash, Python, or Perl.
- **High Availability:** Design and implement high-availability solutions, including replication and failover strategies.
- **Monitoring:** Set up and maintain monitoring systems to track database performance and alert on issues.
- **Compliance:** Ensure database operations comply with relevant regulations and industry standards (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA).
- **Collaboration:** Work closely with developers and IT teams to optimize application performance and resolve database-related issues.
- **Documentation:** Maintain detailed documentation of database configurations, procedures, and processes.
- Strong problem solving, testing, and troubleshooting skills.
Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical employees and with vendors of system related products.
Work closely with team and be an active contributing member.Flexible in shifts.
Additional Information:- The candidate should have a minimum of 7.5 years of experience in PostgreSQL.
- This position is based at our Gurugram office.
