Job Description

Job Summary:

You will work closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure smooth financial operations and accurate financial data.

Key Responsibilities:

• General Accounting:
• Prepare, review, and maintain financial records in accordance with Indian accounting standards (IND AS), GST, and other statutory requirements.
• Manage month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial statements.
• Reconcile general ledger accounts, bank statements, and intercompany accounts.
• Financial Reporting:
• Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Prepare detailed reports on financial performance, variances, and budget analysis for management review.
• Provide insights and recommendations based on financial data to improve business operations.
• Taxation:
• Handle GST, TDS, and other indirect and direct taxes, ensuring compliance with Indian tax regulations.
• Prepare and file statutory returns and work with external tax consultants to manage audits.
• Assist in tax planning and reporting for financial compliance.
• Audit & Compliance:
• Coordinate with external auditors during the annual audit process and ensure compliance with financial regulations.
• Ensure adherence to internal controls and accounting policies.
• Cash Flow & Budgeting:
• Monitor cash flow and assist in the preparation of the annual budget and forecasts.
• Track accounts payable and accounts receivable to ensure timely collections and payments.
• Team Collaboration:
• Provide guidance to junior accountants and assist in their professional development.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including finance, HR, and operations to streamline financial processes.
• Continuous Improvement:
• Identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance operational efficiency.
• Stay updated with changes in accounting regulations, tax laws, and industry trends.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Education:
• Bachelor's degree in Commerce (B.Com) or Finance (MBA/CA/ICWA/CPA preferred).
• Experience:
• Minimum 10 years of experience in accounting, preferably in a senior role.
• Strong understanding of Indian accounting standards (IND AS), GST, TDS, and other regulatory frameworks.
• Experience in handling financial statements, audits, and taxation.
• Technical Skills:
• Proficient in accounting software (Tally, QuickBooks, SAP, or similar) and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong knowledge of financial analysis, reporting, and budgeting tools.
• Soft Skills:
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills to interact with stakeholders.
