The EMEA Field Marketing Manager will join the Actian marketing team to drive awareness and demand generation in support EMEA Field Sales. He/She will own the development and execution of regional marketing and account based plans including field events, regional PR, localization, and demand generation campaigns.This person will collaborate with sales and marketing leadership to deliver high-quality content-rich experiences that drive awareness, pipeline, and revenue for Actian. They will drive bi-directional communication between sales and marketing to ensure that the field is aware of upcoming marketing programs while providing sales input and feedback to the marketing team.
Reporting to the Senior Director of Demand Marketing and Operations based in the US, this person will represent marketing across EMEA to help meet the regions needs and objectives.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute regional marketing plans and account based strategies to ensure lead generation, conversion and pipeline growth, working closely with regional sales pods
- Routinely meet with all Sales Pods to identify awareness, demand, and enablement needs, drive communication to sales teams on what Marketing is doing and delivering, and serve as the face of Marketing to the individual teams for bi-directional communications
- Develop local/regional plans based on feedback, budget, and marketing capabilities,
- Provide thought leadership to local sales teams on how to leverage Marketing
- Own the regional plan as a partner of Sales and make sure Sales is aware of and aligned to plan
- Work closely with marketing colleagues to ensuring EMEA is fully represented and integrated in what marketing develops and executes
- Own and execute the field marketing plan, including virtual and physical events, digital and email marketing, webinars, working with external agencies and US-based marketing team to execute
- Review and measure performance and report on results
- Influence integrated campaign plans by representing local and regional needs and market trends
- Localize corporate programs, content, and resources to maximize effectiveness in local markets
- Support strategic account plans with marketing support, understanding account plan and objectives, craft marketing plan to enable field to accelerate and close deals; help Marketing establish the ABM program from account selection through how we execute
- Identify customers that are targets for capturing customer stories, coordinate the story capture with relevant internal and external parties
- Support efforts for industry and tradeshows in partnership with Tradeshow Marketing; possibly own or co-own EMEA based tradeshow plans/logistics
- Partner with local HR and business teams to drive employer brand and employee retention and acquisition
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree required
- 3-5 years of experience in field marketing or related discipline
- Experience in building and executing marketing plans with dedicated budget
- Proficiency in marketing automation tools and CRM systems to build programs, monitor lead activity, and measure ROI effectiveness
- Self-starter with ability to organize, prioritize, direct, and execute multiple, ongoing projects with tight deadlines and a focus on business impact
- Detail oriented and strong project management skills
- Excellent written and oral communication in English, additional language capabilities a plus
- Experience in B2B marketing, software as a service, and/or data analytics
- Experience in short-form content writing (e.g. email, website copy, blog) is a plus
- Hands-on experience with digital media, including social and email is preferred
- Track record of owning and delivering regional, multi-channel campaigns targeted at mid-market and enterprise customers
- Comfortable with marketing a range of MarTech tools
