Procurement Inspection Engineer E&I
Job Description
The purpose of this job is to ensure that established Inspection procedures & QAPs implemented and maintained at Manufacturer's locations & ensure timely inspections by effective co-ordination with customer inspectors ( also with TPI) & vendor quality Team.
Key Result Areas (KRA's): 1. QAP & Procedure implementation & maintenance , 2 Awareness creation among Project Stakeholders on the importance quality requirement & adherance , 3. Inspect and verify materials and equipment against specifications, drawings, and standards before procurement., 4 Dealing with Non conformity / non compliance in works & ensuring necessary corrective actions, 5.Assist in evaluating and selecting suppliers based on their ability to meet quality and delivery standards., 6. Review procurement documentation to ensure materials meet project requirements., 7. Coordinate and witness testing of equipment (e.g., factory acceptance tests, site acceptance tests) and ensure all products comply with applicable standards (e.g., IEC, ANSI, NEMA, API) and NPCIL specification., 8. Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and best practices in quality assurance and procurement inspection.
Secondary Result Areas: 1 Conducting cross region Audits at Vendor places & ensuring effective compliances , 2 Subordinate & TPI mangement , 3 Networking with Project Team, Procurement & design teams, 4 Supporting Project Quality Team & Regional Inspection incharges
Knowledge : International and National Quality systems such as ISO 9001, Indepth knowledge of Quality requirements in EPC company
Skills : Strong technical knowledge of electrical and instrumentation systems, equipment, and materials.. Interpersonal skil to work with different stakholders, Skill for reporting & monitoring Project status in computer software , Ability to evaluate supplier performance and manage contracts effectively.
