Software Development Engineer II, Amazon Customer Service
Amazon’s Customer Service organization is looking to expand its software engineering team to help drive automation and defect reduction for customers. We are searching for smart, energetic and passionate software development engineers to solve complex technical problems and to work with engineering and business teams distributed across the globe.
Customer Service (CS) department is seeking an experienced software development engineer (SDE) to join the team. CS is the heart of Amazon, our vision is to be "Earth's most customer-centric company; to build a place where people can come to find and discover anything they might want to buy online."
Key job responsibilities
The successful candidate will work within the Customer Service (CS) Product and Tech team and own the delivery of technical changes from a strong roadmap of projects. The projects ranges on WhatsApp 1 way and 2 way notifications, Your Orders, Progress Tracker and Returns space.The candidate will gain a vast amount of experience in a short time period by working with various technical teams from across the globe on an away team model basis as well.
A day in the life
As a Software Development Engineer in ASCS Product and Tech, you will take the lead on building innovative solutions and to address the root causes of defects for Amazon's customer. - 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience- 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language- 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
