Community Manager (Discord)

Job Description

We are a fast-growing community-driven organization in the blockchain space. Our Discord server is the heart of our community, where thousands of members engage daily. We are looking for an experienced and passionate Discord Engagement Manager to lead community interactions, increase engagement, and foster a welcoming and vibrant environment.

Role Overview:

This role requires a deep understanding of Discord's functionality and a passion for community building.

Key Responsibilities:

• Community Management: Act as the face of the Discord server, welcoming new members, answering questions, and fostering a friendly environment.
• Engagement Strategies: Develop and implement strategies to increase user engagement through activities such as AMAs, events, competitions, and daily discussions.
• Content Creation: Create and share content (polls, announcements, challenges, etc.) that encourages interaction and aligns with community interests.
• Moderation Oversight: Work with and guide moderators to ensure rules are followed, discussions remain productive, and toxic behavior is addressed.
• Feedback Loop: Actively gather feedback from the community and provide insights to internal teams for product or service improvements.
• Event Coordination: Plan, schedule, and host events (e.g., live streams, collaborations, giveaways) that promote community involvement.
• Metrics and Reporting: Track and report on key community metrics, such as growth, engagement, retention, and sentiment analysis.
• Collaboration: Partner with marketing, product, and support teams to align Discord activities with broader company goals.
• Crisis Management: Address issues or concerns raised by the community swiftly and diplomatically.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a community manager or engagement manager, preferably with Discord or other online platforms.
• Strong understanding of Discord's features (channels, roles, bots, etc.).
• Ability to build trust and credibility with a diverse online community.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Passionate about blockchain.
• Ability to handle conflicts and troubleshoot issues quickly and calmly.
• Experience organizing and managing virtual events.
• Ability to analyze community metrics and make data-driven decisions.
• Creative problem solver and proactive leader.
• Familiarity with tools like Discord bots and integration of third-party apps.

Preferred:

• Experience working in blockchain, DeFi, NFTs, gaming, etc.
• Knowledge of marketing and community growth strategies.
• Understanding of social media platforms and how to cross-promote content.
• Experience in content creation, such as videos, memes, or infographics, to boost engagement.
