Job Description
The Role
We are looking for an experienced Finance and Accounts Manager to lead the financial strategy and operations of our IT services business in India. The ideal candidate will be responsible for financial planning, management reporting, compliance, taxation, banking negotiations, and driving business growth through financial insights.This role requires a hands-on leader with expertise in the IT industrys financial landscape in India.
The Finance and Accounts Head will work closely with the CEO and business leaders to drive financial decision-making, optimize cash flows, and ensure strong financial controls. This role will have one direct report.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic & Financial Planning
Lead business planning and financial decision-making, acting as a key advisor to the CEO and business leaders.
Develop and present budgets, forecasts, and scenario analysis to support strategic business decisions.
Conduct financial analysis to identify growth opportunities, risks, and cost optimization strategies.
Liaise with banks and financial institutions for funding, credit facilities, and favorable financial terms, leveraging financial analysis for negotiations.
Financial Management & Reporting
Ensure accurate and timely management reporting, including P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow, Accounts Receivable (AR), Accounts Payable (AP), and Provisions.
Prepare monthly cash flow statements and oversee expense monitoring to ensure financial stability.
Drive timely collections by coordinating with internal teams and customers, reducing outstanding receivables.
Establish and maintain strong financial controls and accounting processes for collections, purchasing, receivables, and financial reconciliations.
Statutory Compliance & Taxation
Ensure 100% compliance with Indian taxation laws (GST, TDS, Corporate Tax, etc.), including timely filings.
Oversee statutory audits, liaise with auditors, and ensure financial statements are audit-ready.
Ensure compliance with Singapore taxation (if applicable), working with external advisors for accurate filings.
Leadership & Process Improvement
Act as a financial leader, working closely with cross-functional teams to improve business efficiency.
Mentor and guide the finance and accounts team member reporting to this role.
Continuously improve finance operations and reporting processes.
Qualifications & Experience
8 -10 years of experience in Finance & Accounting, preferably in the IT industry in India.
CA / MBA (Finance) with expertise in budgetary planning, taxation, and financial management.
Strong command of Indian GAAP; familiarity with Singapore Taxation is an added advantage.
Hands-on experience with Tally ERP is a must; familiarity with Xero ERP is a plus.
Strong analytical and financial modeling skills, with expert-level proficiency in MS Excel.
Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
High level of initiative, problem-solving ability, and a strategic mindset.
