As a Data Engineer at our organization, you will play a crucial role in our data management and analytics initiatives. Your primary responsibility will be to design, construct, and maintain efficient data pipelines utilizing modern data tools and technologies, specifically focusing on DBT and Snowflake.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement robust data pipelines using DBT and Snowflake.
  • Collaborate with analytics and data science teams to understand data requirements.
  • Develop and manage ETL processes to extract, transform, and load data efficiently.
  • Maintain and optimize existing data models and pipelines for performance and reliability.
  • Ensure data quality by implementing verification and validation checks.
  • Perform data transformations and aggregation using SQL and other tools.
  • Work on performance tuning for data processing jobs.
  • Document data engineering practices, procedures, and workflows for team reference.
  • Participate in code reviews to ensure best practices are followed.
  • Monitor data pipeline performance and troubleshoot issues promptly.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies related to data engineering.
  • Design and implement data security measures to protect sensitive information.
  • Assist in migration efforts from on-premise to cloud-based data solutions.
  • Contribute to data governance initiatives and policies.
  • Support business intelligence solutions through effective data modeling.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in data engineering or a similar role.
  • Proficiency in using DBT for data transformation.
  • Extensive experience with Snowflake cloud data platform.
  • Strong SQL skills, with the ability to write complex queries.
  • Experience in designing and implementing ETL workflows.
  • Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and architectures.
  • Knowledge of data modeling best practices.
  • Previous experience in monitoring and optimizing data pipelines.
  • Experience with data visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI is a plus.
  • Solid understanding of data security and governance protocols.
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
