About the role:
We are looking for an enthusiastic Senior Manager - Large Format Retail for our India Team. As a Senior Manager - Large Format Retail you will be responsible for driving sales, profitability, and operational excellence across large-format retail stores.You will also be responsible for managing and onboarding large format retail partners such as Croma, Vijay Sales, Reliance, etc. Identify opportunities to engage and onboard regional chains.
This role requires a strong strategic mindset to manage large-scale retail operations while ensuring alignment with organizational goals. The ideal candidate will have proven leadership skills, expertise in retail management, and a strong understanding of customer preferences and market trends.
What you'll do- Strategic Planning and Execution:
- Develop and implement strategies to achieve sales and profitability targets for large-format stores.
- Identify and onboard partners, Negotiate and engage on Terms of trade
- Drive growth by analyzing market trends, customer preferences, and competitive activity.
- Ensure alignment of retail strategies with overall organizational objectives.
- Manage the P&L of the channel
- Drive achievement of revenue targets (quarterly, annual) for the assigned organized retail / LFR partners
- Coordinate and streamline stock management, and order delivery as well as monitor Store level planning and inventory management
- Build sustenance and key marketing plans and initiatives for the assigned channel
- Store Operations Management:
- Oversee day-to-day operations of large-format retail stores to ensure operational efficiency.
- Monitor store performance and implement improvements to optimize sales and reduce costs.
- Ensure adherence to company policies, SOPs, and retail compliance standards.
- Team Leadership and Development:
- Lead, train, and mentor store managers and staff to drive performance excellence.
- Establish clear performance metrics and regularly review employee progress.
- Foster a collaborative and customer-centric work culture.
- Sales and Customer Experience:
- Monitor and improve store sales performance by implementing targeted campaigns and initiatives.
- Ensure a superior customer experience through quality service, store aesthetics, and product availability.
- Address customer feedback and resolve escalations to enhance satisfaction and loyalty.
- Inventory and Merchandising:
- Work with merchandising teams to optimize product assortment and placement strategies.
- Manage inventory levels to minimize stock-outs and overstock situations.
- Oversee promotional activities and visual merchandising standards for large-format stores.
- Reporting and Analysis:
- Prepare and present regular performance reports, including sales, footfalls, and profitability metrics.
- Analyze data to identify areas of improvement and implement actionable solutions.
- Monitor competitor performance and provide insights for competitive advantage
- MBA with a minimum of 8-10 years of experience working in Electronics/Telecom verticals/IT
- Should possess excellent interpersonal and communication as well as presentation skills
- Strong leadership and people management skills.
- Excellent understanding of retail operations and customer behavior.
- Strategic thinking with the ability to translate plans into actionable goals.
