Role description: Deploy and maintain production & pre-production services using container / PaaS technology such as Kubernetes in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) by adhering to ITIL Operations processesMust have skills: GCP cloud exposure to PaaS & IaaS, Kubernetes / Dockers – containers technology & Linux OS administration, Python / Bash / any other scripting skills
Good to have skills: Servers administration skills and experience. Good Infrastructure Knowledge & exposure (Server / Storage / Network) & ITIL knowledge
Job Description:
We are looking for DevOps / SRE having 2 – 7 years of experience in Primarily in Cloud PaaS Services (Dockers, Containers, Kubernetes) & Linux OS administration
Job Requirements:- Key responbilites:
o effectively keeping SLAs and MTTR in mind always.
o Automate the backup, failover and disaster recovery procedures
o Act as a SME and help team members in fixing issues
o Develop, deliver and improve automation in the projects duly assigned
o Work with the larger team and collaborate towards effective delivery of team objectives.
o Deploy and maintain production services using container technology such as Kubernetes or EKS or ECS.
o Infrastructure as code is something we vouch by. Terraform and Ansible are the two tools which we use extensively. Candidate is expected to understand and contribute towards furthering automation causes in this area.
o Additionally we use Python and Java for some product scripting/functional scenarios. knowledge of any of theseo Be part of discussions on automation and effectively suggest improvements.
o Understand architecture, discover failure points and work with other teams to prevent issues in the future.
- Technical Experience:
o Exposure on DevOps on cloud solution in GCP Platform
o Strong Linux Systems Administration Experience: Any flavor
o PaaS Expereince in Google Cloud Platform(GKS, Repo, Image Management, API, Containers, App Virtualization)
o Languages – YAML (Python, Ansible) and JSON
o Infra as code tools - Experience in tools like Ansible, Terraform
o Scripting - Scripting languages like Ruby/Python/Shell/Perl
o Good Understanding around networking: Firewalls/ TCP IP .
o Has good ability in analyzing, troubleshooting, & resolving network service connectivity issues (DNS, DHCP, firewall, etc). using basic tools e.g. ping/telnet/tracert/nslookupo Strong background in managing and maintaining large scale Linux environments.
o Good understanding of management protocols or standards like SNMP, CIM, IPMI, LDAP, ITSM.
o Exposure to Red Hat Enterprise Linux.
o Proficiency in Shell scripting languages. Experience with CI/CD setup and tools
o Experience with cloud concepts including IaaS, PaaS, VMs, VNF, VNFM, Heat Templates, Containers, CNE, Docker, Kubernetes etc.o Experience with Travis, CloudFormation, Fargate or Codepipeline.
o Experience with Nginx, Postgres, Mongodb, Redis.
o Experience with cloud message APIs and usage of push notifications.
o Configuration Management Experience: Chef, puppet, ansible
o Experience with supporting application and database serverso Must have atleast GCP certification
