The Head of Sales is a leadership position with full responsibility for revenue generation, P&L accountability, and driving the company's growth. This individual will play an integral role in developing new business, managing a small but dynamic team, and driving sales results.

The ideal candidate will be highly experienced in B2C sales, particularly within the BFSI (Banking, Financial Services, and Insurance) sector, with a deep understanding of financial investment products such as Mutual Funds, Insurance, etc.

  • Revenue Generation & P&L Management : Lead revenue growth, meet sales targets, and manage P&L accountability for the sales department.
  • New Business Development : Drive new client acquisition in the B2C segment, prospect new opportunities, and close deals effectively.
  • Team Leadership : Manage and motivate a small sales team, ensuring training, performance management, and achievement of sales goals.
  • Sales Process Oversight : Oversee the end-to-end sales process, from lead generation to onboarding new clients.
  • Target Achievement : Achieve short-term and long-term sales targets, ensuring consistent performance.
  • Collaboration & Reporting : Work with internal teams (product, marketing) to align sales strategies and report on performance.
  • Client Relationship Management : Build and maintain strong client relationships, focusing on retention and growth opportunities.

Specific criteria required :

  • Minimum 8 years of experience in B2C sales, with a proven track record of driving revenue and achieving sales targets, particularly in the BFSI industry.
  • Strong experience with financial investment products such as mutual funds, wealth management, or other financial services.
  • Candidates with experience in fintech or wealth management will be highly preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field. An MBA or other relevant advanced qualifications are a plus

  • Deep understanding of the financial services industry, specifically investment products and market trends.
  • Proven ability to manage P&L, including budgeting and forecasting.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities, with a focus on motivation, coaching, and development.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, startup environment, demonstrating flexibility and entrepreneurial spirit.
  • Highly results-driven with a proactive and solutions-oriented mindset.
