Software Development Engineer III, Amazon Customer Service
Amazon’s Customer Service organization is looking to expand its software engineering team to help drive automation and defect reduction for customers. We are searching for passionate software development engineers to solve complex technical problems and to work with engineering and business teams distributed across the globe.

Key job responsibilities
The successful candidate will work within the Amazon Stores Customer Service (ASCS) Product and Tech team and own the delivery of technical changes from a strong roadmap of projects. The projects range from introducing automation for image and media analysis for customers to new Email, Push and SMS notifications.

A day in the life
As a Software Development Engineer in ASCS Product and Tech, you will take the lead on building innovative solutions and to address the root causes of defects for Amazon's customer.
As a Sr. SDE in ASCS Tech and Product, you will :- Be the technical overseer for the team
- Mentor engineers to help grow their potential
- Think long-term on behalf of the systems, their impact, and sustainability
- Advocate for operational excellence
- Well-versed in scalable system design leveraging Amazon and AWS tooling
- Create mechanisms and give feedback to streamline team processes.
- Effectively articulate technical problems and solutions to non-technical audiences.- 6+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 6+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience
- 6+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team- 6+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
