Job Brief: A Desktop Support Engineer is responsible for providing technical assistance to endusers by troubleshooting hardware and software issues on desktop computers, installing and configuring software applications, maintaining network connectivity, and ensuring smooth operation of the company's desktop infrastructure.
Hours: Monday Friday, up to 45 hours (some hours outside of this as required)
Work hours: Day Shift (8:00 am to 05:00 pm) / Night Shift (5:00 pm to 02:00 am). It will be a Rotational shift.
Location: Office 801, 8th Floor, Cerebrum IT Park- B3, Kalyani Nagar, Pune, 411014Length: Permanent position, with three-month probation period
Salary: Up to INR 3,00,000/- per annum.
Key skills: Server management, Networking, OS expertise, Email Servers, Firewall, Switches.
Requirements and skills:
Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
1 to 2 years of any experience is needed.
In-depth knowledge of operating systems like Windows, Linux.
Understanding of network administration, security, and hardware
Knowledge of system performance monitoring.
Troubleshooting and analytical skills.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Installing, configuring and troubleshooting of Windows clients like Windows 7, Windows 8 & 8.1 and Windows 10
Install, configure, and maintain servers, workstations, routers, switches, firewalls, security tools, and related infrastructure
O-365 , Outlook Configuration.
Troubleshooting Network connectivity in a LAN/WAN environment.
Install, configure & maintain network services, equipment and devices.
Printer Installation and Troubleshooting of both local and network printers.
Hands-on experience in MS-Outlook configuration & Troubleshooting.
Malware/Computer virus remediation by Antivirus installation and patch updates implementation.
Taking care of IT related queries and resolving the same relevant to the area of concern.
Providing End user support in order to facilitate operational flow.
Supporting for HP, DELL and Lenovo laptops for Both Hardware and software process
Performing Preventative maintenance activities for every 6 months to monitor the asset details for Desktop.
Involved in maintaining and resolving tickets as per the SLA.
Adding clients to Domain and resolving related issues.
Diagnose hardware and software faults and debug operating systems
Monitor network performance and troubleshoot connectivity issues
Set up and manage employee accounts, permissions, email, antivirus, VPN access, and other services
