We are seeking a skilled and motivated IT Support Engineer to join our internal IT team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and supporting our Windows and Linux based internal systems, ensuring their optimal performance, security, and reliability.The day-to-day functions of this role include providing internal systems support. The role will encompass supporting and building the technology infrastructure that enables the day-to-day operation of Groupon.
You'll spend time on the following:
- Provide top-to-bottom support for the corporate IT environment
- Maintain various Linux and Windows systems (OS and Applications)
- Ensure infrastructure availability and recovery
- Administer various cloud-based software including Google Apps
- Create and maintain technical documentation
- Automate common administrative tasks
- Continue to build out the infrastructure environment
We're excited about you if you have:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- At least 3+ years of experience supporting Linux (Red Hat, CentOS, Ubuntu) and Windows 2008/2012 environments
- Experience administering/supporting an Active Directory Environment
- Knowledge of server technologies like DHCP, DNS, NTP, RADIUS, SAML, LDAP, and other various 3-4 letter acronyms
- Experience with VMWare ESXi and vSphere
- Ability to program in at least two common scripting languages such as BASH, PowerShell, Python
- Capable of working in a fast-paced environment
