Your role and responsibilities
In this role, you will have the opportunity to contribute to ABB’s success with technology, software, product, and system development. Each day, you will identify and implement innovative solutions to relevant problems. You will also showcase your expertise by providing ideas and by being able to work both independently and as a part of a Research & Development (R&D) team.

This role is contributing to the ELDS team
You will be mainly accountable for:- Security and network robustness assessment testing of embedded devices and host based industrial software.
- Conduct Penetration testing on Cloud/Web applications and API’s.
- Writing automation scripts with shell scripting and python
- Threat analysis of the devices from security point of view.
- In-depth analysis of results and writing technical reports.
- Providing suggestions/fixes for improvement to device/software development teams.
- Evaluation of new testing methodologies relevant for the organization
- Masters/Bachelor’s degree in Cyber Security, Computer Science or Networking with 2 or 3 years of relevant experience in vulnerability assessment and penetration testing.
- In depth knowledge of TCP/IP networking and application protocols concepts (knowledge of industrial control communication protocols is an added advantage).
- Sound knowledge of OWASP Top 10 vulnerabilities (web & mobile), software exploitation and common vulnerabilities.
- Good understanding of port scanning, vulnerability assessment and fuzzing tools.
- Adequate knowledge of web related technologies (Web applications, Web Services/API and Service Oriented Architectures) and web related protocols.
- Knowledge of tools like Nessus, Burp Suite, Black Duck, Wireshark & experience with penetration testing OS like Kali Linux.
- Proficient with one of the scripting languages such as shell or python.
