Senior Compliance Analyst
What You'll Do:
As a Senior Compliance Analyst you will report to the Manager, you'll be the primary point of contact for client interactions, handling both internal and external communications related to compliance services. Success in this role requires owning the client’s satisfaction, being empathetic to their needs, and effectively communicate complex compliance matters.You’ll handle escalations, ensuring prompt communication.

What Your Responsibilities Will Be:
Tasks: You will have to file compliance registrations on time, follow up with regulatory agencies on application status, manage projects in proprietary software, and track work activity using time tracking tools.
Relationship Management: You will have to understand client businesses through collaboration, adapting to each client's unique needs, geographic reach, and growth strategy.
Training: You will have to provide ongoing education, communicate new enhancements, and promote the adoption of technology to help clients self-serve. Partner with the Customer Success Manager to ensure clients maximize the benefits of Avalara’s software, while fostering positive relationships with coworkers, vendors, and clients.
What You'll Need to be Successful:
- 3+ years of relevant experience
- Consistently meets or exceeds deadlines
- Problem-solving skills, able to assess options, make recommendations, and work with others to achieve targets
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, ensuring timely and accurate service
- Capable of handling fluctuating workloads and changing priorities
Preferred Qualifications:
- 5+ years of relevant experience
- Bachelor’s degree
- Knowledge of government compliance, licensing, tax compliance, and the alcohol beverage industry
- Experience with automated tax solutions
