Sr Engineer / Engineer Requirement for Procurement / SCM

Job Description

1. Responsible for RFQ process, closure of Technical, quality & commercial evaluation of offers
2. Preparation of Comparison Statement, Responsible for commercial negotiations and award of contract
3. Responsible for post order execution which include

1. To obtain periodical status from vendors
2. Expediting with vendor for meeting delivery schedule
3. To obtain inspection call from vendor & coordinate with Quality team for inspection & obtain despatch clearance.
4. To coordinate LMB's logistics team for placement of vehicle for despatch.
5. To ensure the original technical & commercial documents submitted by vendor to respective team.
6. Establish of letter of credit as per contract & coordinate with finance for on time payment process.

1. Effective reporting of status of procurement activities of relevant categories for project to enable identification of delays and mitigation plan to meet project schedule.
2. Provide support to the project in terms of any interventions required while administering supply contracts for relevant categories
3. Conduct regular procurement reviews to Meet Project schedule & participate in the project review meetings.
4. Experience in imports of raw materials, familiar with customs clearance procedures, documentation and concessional / NIL custom Duty thru FREE TRADE agreement between Govt of India and country of import is preferred.
5. Developing long-term partnerships with local & foreign suppliers managing day-to-day supplier performance to ensure meeting of service, cost, delivery and quality norms.
6. Consistently evaluating vendor performance to ensure adherence to predefined specifications and supply of quality material / execution of job work.
7. To coordinate with Plant/site/vendor for short/damage supplies (if any), NCR (Non-Conformity Report ) and arranging rectification / replacement, as required for closure of short / damaged materials.
8. To identify & develop NEW Potential vendors thru vendor development cell for every package.
