Job Overview: Company is seeking an experienced and motivated Sales Engineer to represent Instrumentation Limited in Durgapur, West Bengal. The ideal candidate will handle sales activities for both government and private sector plants, promoting and selling our range of high-quality instrumentation products.
The Sales Engineer will be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, driving sales strategies, and ensuring the effective implementation of solutions in industrial settings. Key Responsibilities: Sales & Business Development: Develop and implement sales strategies to expand the customer base in both government and private plants, including industries such as power, oil & gas, chemical, and manufacturing.
Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers in both public and private sectors. Engage with clients to understand their needs and offer tailored instrumentation solutions. Product Knowledge & Presentation: Promote and demonstrate the features and benefits of Instrumentation Limited products, including sensors, control systems, and automation solutions, ensuring the customer’s technical requirements are met.
Pre-Sales & Technical Support: Provide pre-sales support, including product demonstrations, technical presentations, and site surveys. Collaborate with the engineering team to ensure correct product configurations. Quotation & Proposal Preparation: Prepare technical and commercial proposals, negotiate pricing, and deliver competitive bids in line with client requirements.
Market Analysis & Reporting: Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and government regulations. Provide regular reports on sales performance, market intelligence, and competitor analysis. Project Management: Oversee project execution, ensuring that installations and solutions are completed on time and within budget.
Coordinate with internal teams for smooth project delivery. Customer Feedback: Actively collect customer feedback to improve product offerings and resolve any issues or complaints in a timely manner. Qualifications: Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Instrumentation Engineering, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in sales of instrumentation or related technical products, preferably with a focus on both government and private sectors. Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of instrumentation, automation systems, and related products, with the ability to offer solutions to complex technical challenges.
Communication Skills: Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal. Ability to convey complex technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders. Negotiation & Sales Skills: Proven ability to negotiate contracts and close deals.
Experience in dealing with government tenders, policies, and processes. Location-Specific Knowledge: Familiarity with the industrial landscape of Durgapur, WB, including major government and private plants, is an advantage. Travel: Willingness to travel within the region for client visits, meetings, and site surveys.
Skills & Competencies: Strong problem-solving abilities and technical aptitude. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Good networking skills with government bodies, private industries, and corporate clients. Result-oriented with the ability to meet or exceed sales targets.
