Job Description
We are seeking a seasoned and strategic Purchase Head (AGM/DGM) to lead our client's procurement operations in Reengus (55 kms from Jaipur). The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in the electrical industry, particularly within transformer manufacturing, and demonstrate a proven track record in strategic sourcing, vendor development, and cost optimization.This role demands a strong leader capable of driving efficiency and ensuring a reliable supply chain for transformer spare parts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Procurement: Develop and implement comprehensive procurement strategies for transformer spares, ensuring cost-effectiveness and timely delivery.
- Vendor Management: Identify, evaluate, and establish strong relationships with reliable vendors. Conduct regular performance evaluations and manage vendor contracts.
- Price Negotiation: Lead negotiations with suppliers to secure the best possible pricing and terms, optimizing procurement costs.
- Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels and ensure efficient stock management to minimize downtime and optimize working capital.
- Quality Assurance: Collaborate with quality control teams to ensure that procured materials meet required specifications and standards.
- Market Analysis: Conduct market research and analysis to stay informed of industry trends, pricing fluctuations, and new suppliers.
- Compliance: Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies and relevant regulations.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- 10-20 years of progressive experience in procurement within the electrical industry, with a strong preference for experience in transformer manufacturing.
- Proven expertise in sourcing and purchasing transformer spare parts.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and manage vendor relationships.
- Exceptional negotiation and communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Knowledge of inventory management principles and practices.
- Familiarity with quality control and assurance processes.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, business administration, or a related field.
