Job Title: Event Manager (Microbrewery Segment)/ Master of Ceremonies (MC)

Job Overview:
The Event Manager/ MC (Master of Ceremonies) is responsible for planning, organizing, and executing events of various types. The role involves managing all aspects of event planning, from concept to completion, ensuring that the event runs smoothly, stays on budget.The Event Manager will coordinate to ensure every detail is handled with precision.
Key Responsibilities:
Master of Ceremonies (MC or Emcee)- Master of Ceremonies (often abbreviated as MC or emcee) is the host or person responsible for leading and coordinating events, ceremonies, or shows. Their primary role is to guide the flow of the event, ensuring everything runs smoothly, and to keep the audience engaged. They may introduce speakers, performers, or other participants, set the tone, and provide transitions between segments.
- Setting the Tone : The MC sets the atmosphere, whether formal, celebratory, or casual, to match the event's purpose.
- Engaging the Audience : They keep the audience engaged and attentive, often with humor, storytelling, or announcements to maintain interest.
- Guiding the Schedule : The MC makes sure the event flows as planned, coordinating transitions between different parts of the program (like speakers, performers, or award segments) to keep everything on time.
- Introducing Speakers and Acts: They introduce participants, providing context or background to help the audience understand the significance of each part.
- Handling Unexpected Situations : An MC should be prepared to handle unforeseen delays, technical issues, or other challenges, keeping the event on track smoothly.
In essence, the MC acts as the bridge between the event organizers, participants, and audience, ensuring a cohesive and enjoyable experience for everyone.
Event Planning & Conceptualization:
- Collaborate to understand their vision, goals, and requirements for the event.
- Develop event themes, formats, and detailed plans to ensure the success of the event.
Budget Management :
- Create and manage event budgets, ensuring that all expenditures stay within allocated funds.
- Negotiate contracts with venues, suppliers, and vendors to secure the best rates and terms.
- Monitor costs throughout the event planning process, making adjustments as needed.
Logistics & Coordination :
- Manage event setup, including audio-visual equipment, seating, dcor etc.
- Create detailed event timelines and schedules for staff, vendors etc.
- Ensure compliance with safety, health, and legal regulations related to events.
Vendor & Stakeholder Management :
- Coordinate with internal teams and external partners to ensure seamless execution.
On-Site Management :
- Oversee event setup and dismantling.
- Ensure that the event runs smoothly by troubleshooting issues, managing staff, and ensuring guest satisfaction.
- Monitor all event activities to ensure compliance with agreements, timelines, and quality standards.
Post-Event Evaluation :
- Analyze event success and areas for improvement to enhance future events.
- Report on event outcomes, including financials and attendee satisfaction.
Skills & Qualifications :
- Proven experience as an Event Manager/MC (Master of Ceremonies) or similar role.
- Strong organizational, multitasking, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple events simultaneously.
- Proficiency in event management software and tools.
- Knowledge of event safety regulations and best practices.
- Bachelor's degree in event management, hospitality, or related field (preferred).
