Position Overview: We are looking for someone experienced in handling PR agencies or who has worked in a PR agency. Job role is to contact PR agencies and Commission editorials or releases or interviews.

Responsibilities

Commissioning and Editorial Oversight:

• Source, evaluate, and commission agencies and companies.
• Provide clear and concise briefs to content creators, outlining expectations, deadlines, and any necessary guidelines or style preferences.
• Review and edit submitted content for accuracy, clarity, style, and adherence to the publication's editorial standards.
• Collaborate closely with content creators throughout the production process, offering feedback, guidance, and support to ensure high-quality deliverables.

• Cultivate and maintain relationships with agencies and companies, fostering a network of talented individuals who can deliver engaging and informative content.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders, such as editors, designers, and marketers, to ensure a smooth and timely production process.

• Monitor the performance of commissioned content, using analytics tools and metrics to assess readership engagement, audience reach, and impact.
• Identify successful content trends and areas for improvement, making data-driven recommendations to enhance future commissioning strategies.

• Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Communications, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
• Proven experience as a journalist, editor, or in a commissioning role within a media organization.
• Strong editorial judgment and ability to evaluate content for accuracy, relevance, and quality.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail and a firm grasp of grammar, style, and tone.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
• Familiarity with digital publishing platforms, content management systems, and analytics tools.
• Knowledge of current affairs, industry trends, and ethical considerations in journalism.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build and maintain relationships with freelancers and internal stakeholders.
• Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced and ever-changing media landscape.
