About the Role

To support the rapid scale of growth that the Bangalore hub continues to encounter, we are hiring a tenacious, self-driven, and enthusiastic HR Generalist to join us on this amazing journey. The role incumbent will be part of the People Business Partnering team globally.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding and exposure to full-cycle recruiting and HR generalist experience in dynamic start-up environments in India.

What You’ll Accomplish
  • Stakeholder management & client interactions: Partner with Site Leadership and PBP, India to ensure effective implementation of People Ops.
  • Onboarding Experience: Liaise with PBP, India and global Recruiting Ops to execute a smooth onboarding experience from Day One. Gauge overall onboarding experience by the end of 90 days and report findings to RnD PBP Leader. Work closely with the RnD PBP team to automate and implement best onboarding practices.
  • Build Policy Awareness & Communication: Look at effective means of communicating and reinforcing India policies across PoSH, Benefits, ways of working, code of conduct through FAQs, Did You Know series and Helpdesk. Liaise with local partners and PBP, India to execute an effective communication strategy on policy awareness.
  • Payroll/Compliance: Partner closely with PBP, India and external payroll entities to ensure accuracy of employee information at the time of payroll and compliance audits. Provide support on payroll related and EPFO (Provident Fund) related employee grievances and issues.
  • Employee Data sanctity: Partner with PBP, India to ensure data accuracy is maintained on global and local systems for better reporting and compliance.Data checks to be done on a periodic basis to ensure validity and accuracy of employee data. Relevant documentation to be maintained on a regular basis for compliance and audits.
  • Effective local partner management: Ensure benefits and payroll partners are meeting established SLAs and resolving employee queries. Liaise with partners to provide required employee information.
  • Workplace Engagement: Responsible for a thriving, fun-filled work environment by planning and executing team engagement and bonding activities such offsites, clubs and others.
  • Separation process: Responsible for conducting exit interviews, summarizing insights and discussing with PBP team to take necessary action.
  • Reporting: By bringing in data accuracy, the person will be responsible for managing relevant dashboards to PBPs for analysis and action planning.

We believe that remote work and in-person work have their own advantages and disadvantages, and we want to be able to leverage the best of both worlds. Employees in hybrid roles are required to be in the office 3 days/week.

Qualificatons:

Basic Qualifications
  • 2+ years of core HR generalist or early business partnering experience.
  • 2+ years of experience in stakeholder management.
  • 2+ years of experience in payroll processes, managing compliance audits, and addressing payroll/Provident Fund-related issues.
  • 1+ years of experience in building or communicating policies, such as PoSH, benefits, and code of conduct, and collaborating with stakeholders to enhance policy communication.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master’s degree preferred, especially from Tier II universities/campuses.
  • Experience working in global setups
  • Early-stage or mid-stage startup experience is preferred; should be able to manage high levels of ambiguity
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; should be articulate.
  • Demonstrates a constant willingness to learn; should be able to work independently.
  • Ability to think outside the box and apply creative problem-solving.
