The Business Development Associate will drive organizational growth by identifying business opportunities and building client relationships in the market research sector. This full-time role is key to expanding the company's reach, requiring a proactive approach to sales and strong communication skills.The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of market research services and experience in lead generation, client management, and proposal development.
The role is responsible for finding and retaining clients. The role collaborates with the Business Development Manager in terms of business objectives, planning, and prediction. The role updates and maintains a customer information database on a regular basis.The role facilitates the organization by email, networking, cold calling, and utilizing internet information sources to build and manage a lead generation pipeline. The role consults with clients to understand key requirements, and strategic direction, and provide solutions.
The role works closely with the marketing team to develop promotional activities.
Key Responsibilities:
Identify and qualify potential leads through various channels, including cold calling, networking, referrals, and online research.
Conduct thorough market research to identify potential business opportunities, market trends and competitor activities.
Build and manage a pipeline of prospects, tracking progress.
Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with existing clients, understanding their needs and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
Maintain a database of prospective clients.
Develop relationships with prospective clients to understand their research needs.
Present market research services and create tailored proposals with the research team.
Close deals while ensuring alignment with company objectives and profitability.
Stay updated on industry methodologies and trends through learning and networking opportunities.
Requirements:
Master's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, Sales, or a related field. 2 or 3 years of business development and sales experience, ideally in market research.
Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, and sales tools.
Proven experience in lead generation and sales.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
A strong work ethic, adaptability, and relationship-building skills are essential.
