As a Lead Infrastructure Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the Infrastructure Platforms (IP), ECIS group, you will be tasked with utilizing your comprehensive knowledge of Infrastructure, applications, and technical processes in the infrastructure engineering field.

Your role will require you to consistently broaden your technical and cross-functional knowledge beyond your main area of specialization.

Job responsibilities
  • Applies technical expertise and problem-solving methodologies to projects of moderate scope
  • Drives a workstream or project consisting of one or more infrastructure engineering technologies
  • Works with other platforms to architect and implement changes required to resolve issues and modernize the organization and its technology processes
  • Executes creative solutions for the design, development, and technical troubleshooting for problems of moderate complexity
  • Strongly considers upstream/downstream data and systems or technical implications and advises on mitigation actions
  • Adds to team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
  • Formal training or certification on infrastructure disciplines concepts and 5+ years applied experience
  • Very good understanding in multiple infrastructure technologies and protocols including Global and Local load balancing, DNS, network routing, switching, firewalls and proxies.
  • Experienced and knowledge in the following key areas:
  • Network Engineering (planning, provision)
  • Hardware Architecture (performance testing, monitoring, operations)
  • Hardware Benchmarking (program management, network management)
  • Design (compliance, security).
  • Good knowledge and understanding of REST/JSON, API implementation and container based technologies.
  • Experience with programmatic methods of network device interaction, configuration and lifecycle management.
  • Thorough understanding of business technology drivers and their impact on architecture design, performance and monitoring, best practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to conceptualize, launch, and deliver multiple IT projects on time and within budget.
  • Ability to collaborate with different teams and roles to achieve common goals.
  • Ability to articulate to more experienced management a technical strategy in clear, concise, understandable terms.
  • Hands on experience with Atlassian products such as JIRA, Bitbucket, and Confluence.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
  • Knowledge of cloud infrastructure and multiple cloud technologies with the ability to operate in and migrate across public and private clouds
