Job Summary:
The Test Engineer II is primarily responsible for the overall quality assurance of the software applications developed and hosted by EB Admin Tech. Primary responsibilities will focus on writing test cases against requirements and developing/running manual tests.
The Test Engineer would also be responsible for API testing.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Designs and implements test cases that promote repeatable, re-usable automated scripts for new enhancements and regression testing.
- Develops and maintains test data for different modules.
- Follows standard development processes and procedures.
- Develops high-quality manual tests to support the development and ensure high-quality software.
- Proactively seeks or aids as required. Defect Tracking utilizing DevOps.
- Hands-on current experience in authoring, building, and adopting large-scale, multi-functional frameworks with well-balanced coverage across UI, back-end integration, database.
- Ability to work in a sprint team environment or independently as needed.
- Experience/Understanding of Agile environment.
- Strong debugging/troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Creating multi-level architectures for web applications.
- Handling quality assurance and test environment problems/issues across multiple applications.
- API web service execution and validation using tools such as Postman.
Thorough knowledge of software testing practices, including test planning and defect management
Required Skills & Attributes:
- Understanding of web services (REST), JSON, and XML data formats
- Knowledge of tools like: Azure DevOps, Test hub, GIT, Putty, WinScp
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong logical, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office or related software
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field or equivalent work experience
- 4-6 years of experience in preparing and executing manual test scripts
Preferred Skills and Qualifications:
- Candidates with US Health and Welfare Benefit Administration knowledge will be preferred
- High integrity and discretion to ensure the confidentiality of sensitive client data
- Ability to work in a team environment and individually
- Effective planning and priority setting
- Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate
