Job Description

Job Title: Quality Engineer (Sheet Metal and Powder Coating)

Additionally, familiarity with reading bending drawings is essential for this role.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough inspections of sheet metal components to ensure adherence to specifications and quality standards.
• Utilize measurement tools including vernier calipers, micrometers, and others to verify dimensional accuracy and tolerances.
• Interpret bending drawings and technical specifications to assess product conformity and identify deviations.
• Maintain detailed documentation of inspection results, quality metrics, and corrective actions taken.
• Provide guidance and support to production staff regarding quality control procedures and best practices.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality processes and reduce defects.
• Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams to facilitate problem-solving and decision-making processes.
• Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards related to sheet metal fabrication.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor&aposs degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related field (preferred).
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in quality engineering within the sheet metal and powder coating industry.
• Proficiency in operating measurement tools such as vernier calipers, micrometers, dial indicators, and others.
• Strong understanding of reading and interpreting bending drawings and technical specifications.
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with quality management systems and continuous improvement methodologies is a plus.
